Preference given to those with 310S or 310T license
Basic Skills/Requirements:
- Preference given to those with 310S or 310T license
- Provincially-recognized mechanics/trade certification required
- Minimum 3 years’ of mechanical service/repair experience (preferably with under-car experience)
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
- Own tools
- Willing to learn and develop skills
- Enthusiastic team player with a “get it done” attitude
- Accountable for actions and decisions
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with Service Advisors
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, service and repair a wide variety of passenger, light truck and commercial vehicles
- Tire mounting, balancing and changeover services (during peak months)
- Reset and repair tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
- Provide general mechanical maintenance and repair services on client vehicles (car, SUV, light truck, recreational trailer, light duty fleet (5-tonne max)
- Follow company workplace policies and procedures
- Support a safe workplace environment and follow safety policies and procedures
- Report all discrepancies with shop equipment with shop supervisor/supervisor
- Assist shop supervisor/supervisor with any additional tasks/roles as required
- Perform regular cleaning/maintenance in shop
- Attend all staff meetings and training seminars/sessions
Other Duties:
- Keep shop equipment operating (maintain, troubleshoot, repair, etc.)
- Use computer diagnostic equipment
Pay Range depending on experience and licence: $28. to $35./hour. Benefits after probationary period, RRSP
